Hamilton College fell to Division I host Colgate University by a score of 6-1 in Hamilton, N.Y., on April 14.

Deborah Barany '11 picked up Hamilton's lone point with a 6-3, 6-4 win at second flight singles. The win is Barany's team-high eighth this season and improves her singles record to 8-5.

Barany teamed up with Amelia Mattern '12 for an 8-6 win at second flight doubles. Colgate (7-11 overall) won the other two doubles matches and earned the team point with a 2-1 edge in doubles play. NCAA Division I rules allow for just one point to be awarded from the three doubles matches. Each singles win still counts for one team point.

Hamilton (1-9) travels to Wesleyan University for a New England Small College Athletic Conference match on Saturday, April 18.
