SUNY Geneseo defeated Hamilton College 9-0 in Hamilton’s last home match of the season at Gray Tennis Courts on April 24.
The Continentals are 3-11 overall after this non-conference setback. Geneseo, which is ranked 16th by the ITA in the Division III Northeast region, improved to 15-2. Hamilton travels to Williams College for a New England Small College Athletic Conference match on Saturday, May 1.
Laura Brantley ’10 played a close match at second flight singles. Brantley defeated her opponent 6-1 in the first set, but fell 6-2 in the second and 10-3 in the third set super tie-breaker. Deb Barany ‘11 and Amelia Mattern ‘12 held an early lead at third flight doubles, but were edged 9-7.
