Hamilton College lost 6-3 to Wesleyan University in a New England Small College Athletic Conference match at Hamilton's Gray Tennis Courts on April 3.
Hamilton (3-5 overall, 0-2 NESCAC) was playing its spring home opener. Wesleyan improved to 9-1 overall, 1-1 in NESCAC.
Deb Barany ‘11 earned a 6-2, 6-0 win for Hamilton at first flight singles. At fifth flight singles, Alex Arenson ‘13 defeated her opponent in a close match by scores of 6-7 (9-7), 6-4 and 10-8 in a third set super tie-breaker. At second flight doubles, Arenson and Melissa Mann ‘13 teamed up to earn an 8-4 win.
Hamilton hosts Colby College for another NESCAC match on Saturday, April 10.
