Hamilton College's Muriel Schwinn '13 (Auburn, Maine/Edward Little HS) was selected the Liberty League women's track and field rookie of the week on March 8 when the league selected its weekly award winners.
Schwinn was honored for the eighth time this season. She finished 11th in two events at the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III championships at Smith College in Northampton, Mass., on March 5 and 6.
Schwinn crossed the finish line in 7.46 seconds in the 55-meter dash preliminary heats on Friday. She tied for 11th place in the long jump with a mark of 5.13 meters (16 feet, 10 inches) on Saturday. She was also part of an 800-meter relay that recorded a season-best time of 1:50.17.
