
Hamilton College participated in the non-team scoring Williams College Invitational with Union College and the College of St. Rose on Jan. 16.
Muriel Schwinn ‘13 finished third for the Continentals in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.70 seconds in the finals. Alexandra Americanos ‘10 finished right behind Schwinn in fourth place in 7.78 seconds. Americanos' time in the preliminary heats was 7.76 seconds. Liz Wahl ‘10 followed in fifth place in 7.82 seconds.
Schwinn also earned a runner-up finish in the long jump at 5.07 meters (16-feet-7¾). In the 400-meter dash, Glenn Watkins ‘12 took second place as she crossed the finish line in 1 minute, 5.79 seconds. The Continentals finished third in the 1,600-meter relay. The team of Wahl, Schwinn, Caitlin Hult '12 and Watkins finished in 4:29.16.
The Continentals next compete at the St. Lawrence University Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 23.
