
Hamilton College athletes finished first in three events as the Continentals hosted their own non-team scoring Mid-Week Meet at Pritchard Track on April 17.

Muriel Schwinn '13 won the long jump and finished second in the 100-meter dash. Schwinn recorded a mark of 5.10 meters in the long jump and posted a time of 13.03 seconds in the 100.
Hannah Jaiven '14 took first place in the pole vault as she cleared 3.10 meters. Savannah Alvarado '15 finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.48.
Katie Steates '15 was second in the long jump with a distance of 9.50 meters. Steates also cleared 1.43 meters in the high jump, which was good for second place.
Glenn Watkins '12 finished fourth of 26 runners in the 800-meter run. Watkins' time of 2:21.18 was the fastest among Division III competitors. Sarah Ohanesian '14 finished two spots back in sixth place with a time of 2:24.10.
Claire Hunsinger '13 took second place in the javelin with a throw of 23.74 meters, and Margaret Doolin '14 placed second in the hammer throw. Doolin recorded a throw of 33.57 meters.
Sarah Boak '12 came in second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:09.97. Emily Banzer '15 posted a time of 5:13.18 in the 1,500-meter run, which was good for second place.
Hamilton travels to Bates College for the 2012 NESCAC Championships on Saturday, April 28, at 9 a.m.
