
Hamilton College competed at the multi-divisional, non-team scoring Marc Deneault Memorial Invitational at Cornell University's Barton Hall on Feb. 20.
Muriel Schwinn ‘13 took ninth place in the preliminary heats of the 60-meter dash, and broke her own team record with a time of 8.18 seconds. Schwinn's previous record was 8.25 seconds set on Dec. 5, 2009. She also claimed 10th place in the long jump with a mark of 4.73 meters (15-6 ¼). Her mark was third best by a Division III athlete.
The Continentals' 1,600-meter relay took second place with a time of 4 minutes, 22.63 seconds. The team included Glenn Watkins ’12, Caitlin Hult '12, Emily Heckman ’13 and Sara Scheineson ‘12.
Watkins also earned fourth place in the 500-meter dash as she recorded a time of 1:22.00. Her time was the best by a Division III runner. Hult finished sixth in the event in 1:23.80.

Hamilton will compete in the 2010 New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships at Rochester Institute of Technology on Feb. 26 and 27.
