
Hamilton College's Hannah Jaiven '14 smashed the program record in the pole vault at Rensselaer's multi-divisional, non-team scoring 2013 Track and Field Upstate Classic at Harkness Track on April 13.
Jaiven finished first in the pole vault for the second consecutive meet with a height of 3.51 meters (11 feet, 6.25 inches). The performance placed her in the top 20 in Division III this year. She shared the old record of 3.29 meters with Jess DeMichiel '08.
Emily Banzer '15 set a personal record for the third time in as many weeks with a time of 5:00.21 in the 1,500-meter run. Banzer finished eighth in the event.
Claire Hunsinger '13 took fourth place in the triple jump with a mark of 10.23 meters (33 feet, 6.75 inches). Halina Loft '15 was sixth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:15.29.
Hamilton hosts its mid-week meet at Pritchard Track on Tuesday, April 16.
