Lauren Peters-Collaer '11 placed second in the high jump as Hamilton College competed in the New England Small College Athletic Conference track and field championships at Connecticut College's Silfen Track and Field Complex on April 25.

Peters-Collaer cleared 1.60 meters (5-foot-3) to tie a program record set previously by Lisa Eaton '92 and Jen Orbaker '07. Rebecca Yaguda '09 recorded the next best performance for the Continentals with a fourth-place finish in the pole vault. Yaguda cleared 3.12 meters (10-feet-2¾) in the event.

Liz Wahl '10 placed in the top eight in two events for Hamilton. Wahl took fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.19 seconds and was seventh in the 200-meter dash in 26.96 seconds.

Laurie Horesta '12 placed sixth in the javelin with a throw of 35.05 meters (115-feet-0). Kristen Selden '09 ended up seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.22 seconds.

Hamilton finished in ninth place out of 11 teams with 24 points. Team champion Williams College amassed 180 points.

A number of Hamilton athletes will compete in the New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships at St. Lawrence University on Friday and Saturday, May 1-2.
