Hamilton College's Jenny Orbaker '07 won two field events and Amanda Salisburg '08 set a school record in the pole vault in the Continentals' non-scoring dual meet against Hartwick College at Scott Field House on Jan. 15.
Salisburg's mark in the pole vault was 2.60 meters. The old record was held by Barb Dalgish '03 and established on Feb. 24, 2001. Orbaker finished first in the shot put and the high jump. Her high jump registered 1.50 meters.
Kary Pardy '08 was an easy winner in the weight throw. Lauren Steates '06 and Adrienne Isaac '05 won the long jump and the triple jump, respectively. Isaac leaped 9.89 meters in the triple.
Rachel Bennek '07 finished first in the 400-meter dash and Amanda Von Schmid '08 won the 55 meters. Mara Dropkin-Frank '05 captured the 800 meters by more than 10 seconds in 2:27.11. Kate Schirmer '05 won the 3,000 meters and Hamilton swept the 800- and 1,600-meter relays. The Continentals host Nazareth College for a dual meet on Sunday, Jan. 23, at noon.
