Alex Singh ’11 was named to the all-tournament team, and Hamilton College lost its two matches on the second day of the Hamilton Invitational played at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Sept. 26.
Hamilton (3-15 overall) fell to Gordon College in three sets (25-17, 26-24, 25-19). The Continentals also fell in three sets to Union College (25-9, 25-14, 25-17).
In the match against Gordon (4-13), Singh recorded seven kills, six digs and two aces. Amanda Cohen ’13 also added seven kills and recorded one ace. Rachel Irizarry ’12 led defensively with nine digs. Alyssa Hopper ’13 served four aces, and Cecelie Pikus ‘13 passed out 20 assists.
Singh posted a team-high seven digs, six kills and one ace against Union (10-7). Cohen was credited with six kills. Pikus passed out 15 assists and added four digs. Irizarry contributed five digs.
Hamilton returns to action on Friday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. for a NESCAC match against Trinity College at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.
