Emily Yong ’19 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Taiwan. She is a Dean’s List neuroscience major from New York City.

Yong received a U.S. Department of State Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship to support her study in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2018. At Hamilton, she is a Levitt Leadership Institute Scholar and a Peer Advisor for the Career Center. She also captains the Cross Country team.

Yong said, “The Fulbright offers me the opportunity to teach English abroad to young students, learn about a different culture, and share my experiences.  I am so excited to get out of my comfort zone again, living in a new country, doing meaningful work and developing my interests further.

“After the Fulbright, I hope to go to physical therapy school and work abroad in physical therapy and rehabilitation,” she said.
