Dear Members of the Hamilton Community,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ngonidzashe Munemo as Hamilton’s next Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty. Ngoni is Professor of Political Science, Chair of the Global Studies Program, and recent former Interim Vice President for Institutional Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Williams College. His appointment at Hamilton is effective July 1 and includes a position as Professor of Government. The full news story is available on the College’s website.

My thanks to the members of the committee that conducted this search, especially co-chairs Karen Brewer and Gbemende Johnson, and to the faculty, students, and staff who met with Ngoni and the other finalists during their visits to campus at an especially busy time in the semester. Ngoni is an outstanding teacher and scholar with broad administrative experience. I look forward to working with him to support the academic program and the work of our faculty.
