07. What if we hosted an Art, Technology and Society Colloquium series?
May 16, 2025
The collaboration led by: Anna Huff
With collaborators: Nadya, Bair; Nhora Serrano; Ryan Carter; Robert Knight; Amy Brener; Bret Olsen; Heather Kropp
The goal of this series is to open up conversations across disciplines, facilitate collaboration and plant seeds for what could be a short term project or fellowship with support for a visitor to collaborate with student researchers. This will help students to engage in direct interdisciplinary conversations with artists, theorists and practitioners outside of the institution, and offer them insights into interdisciplinary careers that bridge theory and practice at intersections of Art, Technology, Sciences and the Humanities.

- Addresses gaps within the curriculum such as architecture and urban planning
The points that the committee recommends the proposers need to continue to develop include:
- Continue developing the budget
- Future collaboration with the Innovation Center
- Consider what other programs or initiatives this project could link with for greater impact
From the committee’s perspective, the next phase of this project should include:
- Continued budget development and collaboration
- Coordinating the colloquium
The committee recommends funding the next phase of this proposal for $10,000 to move this idea forward for further aspirational design and development.
