The Pressman Family Scholarship
The Pressman Family Scholarship was established by Ronald "Ron" R. Pressman, Class of 1980 and his wife, Mary Henderson Pressman.

As an undergraduate at Hamilton College, Ron earned a bachelor's degree in biology. He was a member of Pentagon, a resident advisor, and was awarded the James Soper Merrill Prize at the time of his commencement. Following a long career with the General Electric Company, he went on to lead Institutional Financial Services for TIAA-CREF and later was named CEO of the Urban Land Institute in 2022. A Charter Trustee of Hamilton, Ron also served as a long-standing trustee and Chair of the Board of the national A Better Chance Program, where he had a significant impact on the academic success of young African American students in America.
Mary, a 1979 Bates College alumna, served on the Bates Board of Trustees, including as Vice Chair from 2014-2018. Her early career included work as an Associate Dean in the Hamilton College Admissions Office.
