Charlotte Perrins Comrie studied art and painting in England before coming to the United States. In 1951, she married Howard F. Comrie, Class of 1922. Both Howard and Charlotte had a strong interest in helping students attend Hamilton and were active and generous supporters of the College. They were residents of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Ocean Point, Maine, and spent summers in Caroga, New York. They both died in 1993.
