The Alyssa Ross Eppich Scholarship
The Alyssa Ross Eppich Scholarship was established by Peter B. Coffin, Class of 1981, and Abby Coffin, Class of 1981, in memory of Alyssa "Lisa" Ross Eppich, Class of 1981.
This scholarship was established in memory of Alyssa "Lisa" Ross Eppich, a member of the Class of 1981. At Hamilton, Lisa explored history with a focus on Eastern European and Russian Studies. She studied French, becoming fluent in both spoken and written word, German, and Russian. During her Junior year, Lisa studied abroad for six months in Vienna and had the opportunity to visit several Eastern European countries, including Turkey, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia. These experiences sparked an interest in exploring her family genealogy, as her mother's family was from Eastern Europe and her father's family was from Scotland. While on the Hill, Lisa was also a member of the women's ice hockey and lacrosse teams.Lisa created the Class of 1981 Facebook Page in 2009 and played an integral role in her class reconnecting and engaging with one another. She worked tirelessly reaching out to classmates, as well as those who were on the Hill during those years, to bring them back into the Hamilton and Kirkland family via social media. The Class of 1981 is one of the most connected thanks to Lisa's efforts and the class page continues with her presence strongly felt by her classmates. For her efforts, Hamilton recognized Lisa with a College Key award in 2013.
