“Because Hamilton” East Coast Scholarship
The “Because Hamilton” East Coast Scholarship was established by David Solomon ’84 as part of Hamilton Give Day, November 15, 2019.
On November 15, 2019, Hamilton College launched the most ambitious Give Day in the history of fundraising on the Hill. Trustee David Solomon ’84 offered an incentive that he would provide a gift of one million dollars to support a new scholarship if The College raised one million dollars by midnight EST. Donations were tracked by four regions by time zone. The region with the highest number of participants received the naming rights for the new scholarship. The East Coast was the winner.
