The Class of 1965 Alexander Hamilton Scholarship

The Class of 1965 Alexander Hamilton Scholarship was established by members of the Class of 1965 to honor their alma mater and provide financial support for future generations of Hamilton students.

This Fund was initiated in 2020 by members of the Class of 1965.

For their 55th reunion, the 1965 class committee elected to join other classes of their era in establishing an Alexander Hamilton general scholarship fund in the name of their class. Such an effort had been attempted at the 25th reunion, but little was raised outside of the Annual Fund. That small sum still grew, and the committee desired to put it toward a worthy purpose. For the 55th reunion, the class raised well over the $50,000 required to earn the James D. MacLennan ’58 match. This sum—plus the match, combined with the earlier fund, in addition to future matched pledge payments, along with other gifts to the fund—is expected to provide the College with a book-value scholarship fund approaching or exceeding $200,000.
