The Patrick M. Regan and Janet Regan Scholarship

The Patrick M. Regan and Janet Regan Scholarship was established by Patrick M. Regan, Class of 1977, and his wife Janet.

Patrick M. Regan, Class of 1977, was a government and public policy major at Hamilton, where he played on the football team and was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. He attended The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and completed his Juris Doctor in 1980.

Originally from Connecticut, Pat is currently President and Senior Partner at Regan Zambri Long, and has practiced law in Washington, D.C. for over 40 years. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers, and the American Board of Trial Advocates, and is board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. For more than 20 years, Pat has served on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice. Additionally, he has taught as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Catholic University of America and written and lectured extensively in the field of personal injury law.

Pat is married to Janet (Noel) Regan, and is the proud father of Christopher J. Regan, Jennifer N. Bevans, and Caroline Regan and proud grandfather to Emily and Charles Bevans and Ryan Regan. Pat’s grandfather, John J. Carusone, attended Hamilton as a member of the Class of 1923, as did his uncle, John J. Carusone Jr., Class of 1963, and cousins, John J. Carusone III, Class of 1987, and Judson “Jud” M. Carusone, Class of 1989.

Pat has remained connected to Hamilton as a loyal supporter and volunteer, and through his many friendships from his years on the Hill. Wishing to support need-blind admissions and financial aid at the College, Pat and Janet are pleased to endow this fund through the MacLennan Scholarship Match to enable future Hamilton students to achieve their academic goals.

Please note: The named scholarships profiled on these pages support the College’s generous need-based financial aid commitment. These donor-funded scholarships help ensure the Hamilton promise of keeping education affordable through meeting a student’s full demonstrated financial need.
