The Arthur Kalita and Sharon Korsgaard Scholarship

The Arthur Kalita and Sharon Korsgaard Scholarship was established by Arthur J. Kalita, a member of the Class of 1971, and his wife Sharon Korsgaard.

This Fund was established by Arthur J. Kalita, a member of the Class of 1971, and his wife Sharon Korsgaard, during his 50th reunion year to provide financial aid to Hamilton students with need.

Arthur spent much of his professional life in the financial industry. He worked for several years for J.P. Morgan, where he served as CEO for their operations in Canada and later in Brazil. He then moved from J.P. Morgan to ING Latin America, where he was head of Mergers and Acquisitions and became Executive Vice President for Canada and Latin America for ING Investment Management Americas. Returning to the U.S., Arthur realized a longtime ambition by purchasing land in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and planting a 22-acre pinot noir vineyard.

Arthur has served Hamilton in a variety of roles; as an Admissions and Levitt Center volunteer, a member of the Alumni Council, a campaign volunteer, and a member of his class’s reunion committee. In establishing this scholarship, he hopes to enable generations of students to receive an outstanding education and engage with the Hamilton community.
