The Solomon Family Scholarship
The Solomon Family Scholarship was established in 2011 by Charter Trustee David Solomon, Hamilton Class of 1984, father of Carrie Solomon, Class of 2016. It is awarded with preference given to students who excel academically, are involved in the extra-curricular life of the College and who demonstrate the greatest financial need.
David Solomon graduated with a major in government. During his time on College Hill, he participated in the College’s Semester in Washington, D.C. program, and was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity and the men’s rugby team. Immediately following graduation, he began a successful career in investment banking.
David has served his alma mater in various capacities including as a volunteer for the annual fund, career center and admissions programs. He also served as Alumni Trustee from 1996 to 2002 and as a Charter Trustee since 2005.
Please note: The named scholarships profiled on these pages are awarded as part of the College’s need-based financial aid packages. These funds help ensure the Hamilton Promise of keeping education affordable through meeting a student’s full demonstrated financial need.
