The Harry Roger and Fern Van Marter Parsons Scholarship

The Harry Roger and Fern Van Marter Parsons Scholarship was established in 1995 by Jeffrey R. Parsons, Class of 1969, in memory of his parents. Preference is given to students from the state of Texas.


Jeffrey R. Parsons, a Houston-area attorney was born to Harry and Fern Parsons in Cazenovia, New York. While at Hamilton, Jeffrey was a member of the Buffers, the lacrosse team, and the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He graduated in 1969 with a B.A. in history and earned his J.D. from Boston University Law School in 1973. He is a founding partner of Beirne, Maynard & Parsons LLP, the largest litigation-only firm in Texas. In addition to his generosity, Jeffrey has volunteered in many capacities for Hamilton.
