The William N. Yeomans Scholarship

The William N. Yeomans Scholarship was established by Kathryn A. and William N. Yeomans '55 .


William N. Yeomans, Class of 1955, was born and raised in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, where his ancestors resided since the Civil War. Following his graduation from Hamilton, he was an executive with the J.C. Penney Company for many years. When the company moved its headquarters from NYC to Texas, he founded the Yeomans Group, Inc. where he continued his work in the human resources field as a consultant. In retirement, Mr. Yeomans served as Upper Saddle River Borough Historian, and as a volunteer in several local and national organizations. An active volunteer for Hamilton, Mr. Yeomans has served as Alumni Council president and was selected to present the Half-Century Annalist's Letter for his class. Additionally, he was recognized as Volunteer of the Year.

Kathryn Yeomans was born in Connecticut and raised in Westfield, New Jersey. She graduated from Purdue University with a major in English. She ran her own advertising and graphic arts business and as wan active volunteer, serving on the Executive Committee of the Board of Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey, as past president of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary, and as co-founder and Trustee of the Upper Saddle River Historical Society.
