The Christopher George Scott Scholarship

The Christopher George Scott Scholarship is awarded to a student with an outstanding academic record. The scholarship was established in 2011 by the Scott Family Foundation of Chicago in memory of Christopher G. Scott, Class of 1962.

Christopher George Scott was born in Montreal, Quebec, the son of David G. and Jean Lothian Scott. He grew up in Wilmette, Illinois, and his older brother, Stuart, graduated from Hamilton in 1961. Stuart went on to become the CEO of the real estate company Jones Lang LaSalle. Following in his brother’s footsteps, Christopher matriculated at Hamilton with the Class of 1962, but remained for only one semester before transferring to Southern Methodist University. He was to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1963, but was killed in a parachuting accident in July of 1962 at the age of twenty-two. This scholarship honors his memory.
