The Jill Doonan Olwert '84 Scholarship

The Jill Doonan Olwert ’84 Scholarship is awarded with preference given to students majoring or minoring in mathematics.

A native of Rochester, NY, Jill Doonan Olwert majored in mathematics at Hamilton and minored in music. During her time on College Hill, she was an active member of the choir and served as choir manager for one year. Jill also played the harp with various choral groups and the Syracuse Symphony, and studied the harp in Germany for a semester during her junior year. Upon returning to campus from her semester abroad, she gave a senior recital.

Jill went on to earn an M.B.A. from Boston University in 1990. Her professional career has been with the General Electric Company, where she has worked as a finance manager with the aerospace, healthcare and lighting businesses supporting functions including business development, technology, services and supply chain. She is thankful for the excellent preparation her Hamilton education afforded her to learn and grow in her career at G.E.
