Scholarships

The Joseph J. Waltman Book Prize

This award, established in 2005 by Meredith Waltman, Class of 2002, in memory of her father, Joseph J. Waltman, provides support for the purchase of academic supplies and materials to a worthy student studying economics or mathematics.

The daughter of Linda and Joseph Waltman of Rosemont, Pennsylvania, Meredith Waltman Clair played varsity volleyball at Hamilton and graduated in 2002 with a degree in psychology. She established this award in memory of her father, who “was so proud to be a parent of a Hamilton student.” He was grateful for the assistance and consideration shown by Hamilton’s Financial Aid Office, and Meredith expressed her desire to “give back to Hamilton in his name, as a way of saying thank you for all your support while I was a student there.” Meredith and her husband, John, also Class of 2002, continue to support this annual award.
