The Ashley McLean-Brown Wilberding Scholarship

The Ashley McLean-Brown Wilberding Scholarship was established in 1994 by Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Van C. Wilberding in honor of their daughter, Ashley Wilberding, Class of 1994. It is awarded to a woman who is interested in the study of foreign languages and who has demonstrated leadership in broad-based extracurricular activities.

While a student at Hamilton, Ashley Wilberding was a three sport athlete, participating on the women’s field hockey and ice hockey teams, and as an outstanding goalie on the women’s lacrosse team. She graduated with departmental honors in Asian studies and English in 1994. After a short career at Merrill Lynch, she joined Mane Perfumers in 1996 and worked with international markets in France, China and Mexico. She currently works for Mane U.S.A. in New York City. She married Olivier Balavoine in 2002.
