The John F. DeBernardis '40 and Stella Honaker DeBernardis Scholarship

The John F. DeBernardis ’40 and Stella Honaker DeBernardis Scholarship was established by a bequest from Mrs. DeBernardis in honor of her husband.

Following his graduation from Hamilton, John F. DeBernardis received a second degree in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and was immediately hired as an engineer by the FMC Corporation. During their marriage, Mr. DeBernardis’s career precipitated several moves but they spent many years in Charleston, West Virginia, where Stella DeBernardis, a housewife and trained registered nurse, resided at the time of her passing.
