Join the OCC for a series of workshops that teach you foundational communication concepts in bite-size form!  There's the dictionary definition of a word, and then there's the meaning of how it's actually used. We'll talk about how words have layers of meanings and ways you can use those layers to help understand others better and improve your own communication. To make it easy on your schedule, each session is scheduled for only 30 minutes and the same material is repeated at 12:15 and 4:15. Each workshop you attend gets you another entry into...

Since the earliest days of the College, students have been asked to develop their ability to communicate eloquently in a variety of contexts. Today, the Public Speaking Competition provides an opportunity for students to both hone and demonstrate those abilities while competing for more than $18,000 in prizes.
