Hamilton College Arboretum Saturday Speaker Series

Plant Health Care: The Most Recent in Pruning, Planting, and Mulching with Fred “Tree Man” Breglia, Landis ArboretumJoin Landis Arboretum executive director and ISA-certified arborist Fred “Tree Man" Breglia as he delves into the best way to prune your trees and shrubs correctly. Fred will present an educational discussion on the most current and effective pruning, planting, and mulching techniques for your yard and garden. These methods focus on developing and maintaining healthy plants, making them less susceptible to problems. The lecture will include time for questions. This is always a fun topic to explore with Fred! Fred Breglia has worked in the green industry since the age of 18 and has been employed by Landis Arboretum in Esperance for the past 28 years, 15 of which he has served as executive director. He is a frequent speaker, educator, writer, and a regular guest on the WAMC radio show Vox Pop. Many people know him as "Tree Man" due to his roles at the Arboretum, as well as his passion for discovering large trees around the world.
