Each August, members of the newest class and transfer students arrive on campus for nine days of adventure trips and on-campus programming.
Hamilton College opens its academic year at the end of August with a traditional Convocation ceremony. Members of the administration welcome students and new faculty, and academic achievement prizes are awarded to students.

The Sacerdote Great Names Series brings to campus national and international leaders in government, business, science and the arts.
Common Ground is a forum where speakers discuss contemporary issues and model respectful dialogue from different perspectives.
Feb Fest livens up the campus during the middle of winter. Events have included snow sculpture competitions, chocolate tastings, snoccer (snow soccer), chili cook-offs, ice skating party, beer tasting, concerts and more.
Class & Charter Day
Class & Charter Day is a convocation on the last day of spring classes. Academic and scholarly achievement prizes are awarded to students and faculty members.
The Class of 2020 commencement ceremony will take place Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 10:15 a.m., in the Scott Field House. Tickets are not required. The ceremony will be streamed live online.
Each June, Hamilton welcomes back more than 1,000 alumni and guests for Reunions.
