  • Two years ago during her summer break, Christine Walsh ’20 interned for Benjamin Blake, mayor of her hometown, Milford, Conn. This past fall semester, after sustaining a concussion prior to the start of classes, she thought she would be stuck at home, recovering and then waiting for the next semester to begin. She had no idea that she would be returning to work with Blake, this time, with her own office. After all – the assistant mayor would need an office.

  • In high school, Maggie Cunha ’20 volunteered at a residential treatment center for mothers suffering from addiction, an experience that kindled both her anger about ineffective public policy and a keen interest in improving public policy. It’s helped shape her career goals.

  • Speaking on Friday, Oct. 26, to a standing-room-only crowd of parents, students, and faculty on careers in defense intelligence, Greenan chronicled her career path from that internship and another with U.S. Senator Richard Lugar (R-Indiana), to working for alumnus and former U.S. Congressman Michael Castle ’61 to the Pentagon to defense contractors.

  • Although most students have gone home for the summer, Enogie Omoregbee ’21 and Christopher Hart ’19 are sticking around to make the campus a greener, more environmentally friendly place.

  • Pointed toward law school, Grecia Santos ’20 secured a summer internship at a small immigration law firm in her hometown of Miami. She finds herself immersed in a learning experience far more intense than she’d expected. “Because I thought it would just be looking at laws and reading very dry language, but what we’re dealing with is people talking about the experiences that they had in their home countries, why they left, the fear that they have, hope that they can stay here and rebuild their lives. It’s just very emotional at times,” Santos explains

  • Joe Livingston '02 and has a master’s degree from the University of Texas in Austin in Middle East Studies. He served as State Department Foreign Service Officer (diplomat) from 2007-16, has worked for several NGOs conducting programs internally, and is currently the assistant director for Careers and Professional Development at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies in Denver.

  • Having graduated in 2015 with a major in Public Policy and minor in Government He completed a Semester in Washington D.C. and is currently Chief of Staff at the New York State Assembly.
