  • Brendan McCormick '01 recently announced that a Wall Street Association meeting will be held on Thursday, June 26, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Racquet and Tennis Club. Featuring a panel of industry leaders, experts and economists, discussion will center on the current state of the economy. To register for this event, either call the Office of Alumni Relations at 866-729-0314 or register online by clicking here. Please direct questions to the Office of Alumni Relations.

  • Margaret Boyse '91, Ingrid Schneider '85 and Andrew Burns'78 hosted a Hamilton Alumni Assciation party at the home of Ingrid Schneider '85 and David Reiger. Of the 114 alumni living in the Triangle-area, nearly 35 guests attended this party, a first for the newly formed Triangle Alumni Association. 

  • Under the direction of G. Roberts Kolb, professor of music and director of choral music at Hamilton since 1981, The Hamilton Choir and College Hill Singers will perform throughout the Midwest from March 13 – 19. They will present both sacred and secular works ranging from the Renaissance to the present day in Buffalo, Cleveland, Appleton, Chicago, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. The program will include works by Handl, Lassus, Monteverdi, Pinkham, Barber, and Whitacre, as well as a Beatles medley and a selection of folk songs and spirituals.   • More than 1,000 alumni, parents and friends gathered in 26 cities during the week of Jan. 6 – Jan. 13, 2008, to celebrate the birthday of the college's namesake, Alexander Hamilton. The birthday celebration kicked off in Iowa City, Iowa, where the state held its first-ever alumni gathering with a group of about 15 alumni, parents and friends. 

  • Even though the Men's Lacrosse team's 2008 season doesn't start until March 12, the Lacrosse Boosters Club and Friends of Athletics is giving the team a kick-start by holding a men's lacrosse fundraiser on January 17, 2008 in New York City. The reception, which is open to all alumni, parents and friends of the program, will be held at The Racquet and Tennis Club, at 370 Park Avenue. Featuring Lacrosse Head Coach Scott Barnard and new Athletic Director Jon Hind '80, a lacrosse alumnus, the event hopes to help raise funds to meet the program's annual goal of $30,000.

  • Embarking on its 29th season as a Varsity sport at the College, the women's basketball team has high expectations for the 2007-08 season thanks to the team's celebrated accomplishments this past season. First year Head Coach Sean Mackin has a team which consists of five returning starters, five first-year talents, and a deep bench that should combine for continued success.  

  • Nearly 30 alumni, parents, friends and children gathered at the Culinary Institute of America in Greystone, CA on October 27, 2007 to participate in a chocolate demonstration with Chef Stephen Durfee '85, Pasty Chef at the school. Recently awarded the title Certified Executive Pastry Chef by the American Culinary Federation, Chef Durfee has had a long career as an award winning pasty chef. During the chocolate demonstration, Chef Durfee led the alumni association through a participatory candy making demonstration and offered a presentation titled "Chocolate 101."

  • In August, 2007, chef Stephen Durfee '85 was awarded the title Certified Executive Pastry Chef by the American Culinary Federation and is currently a pastry chef instructor at The Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, Calif. On Oct. 27, Chef Durfee will lead the Northern California Alumni Association in a chocolate and candy making demonstration at the Greystone School. Nearly 30 guests will join Chef Durfee in the Culinary Institute's kitchen for this special opportunity.  

  • The weather was beautiful, the Red Sox were victorious, and the city of Boston welcomed the Hamilton College Alumni Association in fine fashion to the 43rd Head of the Charles Regatta October 20 and 21. Nearly 70 alumni, parents and friends gathered in the Reunion Village to cheer on the Hamilton College Crew Team as they competed in the Men's Four, Women's Four and Women's Eight Collegiate Races.
