  • This lightboard is an innovative teaching tool that allows for a more interactive experience for faculty members and their students. It was built by College carpenters in consultation with Director of Audiovisual Services Tim Hicks. The lightboard presentation is taped, and made available as a video as part of the classroom instruction.

  • Hamilton now travels to Norwich University for an NCAA quarterfinal that will be played Saturday, March 18, at 7 p.m. The Continentals won their team-record 20th game this season in the program's NCAA championship debut.

  • Professor of English and Creative Writing Naomi Guttman read from her work at a Four Way Books event at Berl’s Brooklyn Poetry Shop in Brooklyn on March 3.

  • An evening at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall offered a refreshing change of pace for the 14 busy students taking part in this semester’s New York City program directed by Professor Naomi Guttman. Thanks to a generous donation from Karen and Kevin Kennedy '70, the group attended a New York Philharmonic symphony concert on March 1.

  • In three recent articles, TIME magazine has engaged the expertise of Hamilton experts in reporting a story. Most recently, Director of Special Collections and History Lecturer Christian Goodwillie was quoted in Read a Rare Alexander Hamilton Love Letter to Elizabeth Schuyler.

  • Douglas Raybeck, professor of anthropology emeritus, presented a paper titled “Divorce and Modernization: A Comparative Study” at the meeting of the Society for Cross-Cultural Research (SCCR) held March 1st to 4th in New Orleans.

  • Five students were awarded prizes in three categories in the annual Public Speaking Competition on Saturday, March 4, in the Chapel. The finalists were chosen after an open preliminary round held in February. Speakers’ presentations were either persuasive or informative in nature, and in one category, students addressed an assigned topic.

  • Hamilton’s Club Curling Team will compete this weekend, March 10 to 12, in the National College Curling Championships at the Utica Curling Club, in Whitesboro, NY. This is the first year that the national championship will take place at the Utica Curling Club, which has a reputation as one of the finest clubs in the Northeast. Hamilton practices there regularly, and is hoping to have a home-ice advantage.
