They are Cynthia Domack, professor of geosciences; Elaine Heekin, professor of dance and movement studies; Elizabeth Jensen, professor of economics; and David Thompson, professor of physical education and director of campus wellness.

  • “Be a Match” the posters and emails exhorted, advertising the Feb. 17 marrow registry drive held at Hamilton. After four such events and 500 sign-ups, Milinda Ajawara ’16 has been identified as a Hamilton match for an individual in need of a marrow transplant. Be the Match, the organization that maintains the registry, rightly proclaims that “every potential donor who proves to be a match has a chance to be a hero and save a life.”

  • Dave Thompson, director of the Charlean and Wayland Blood Fitness and Dance Center, Campus Wellness director and professor of physical education, was a panel member during the American Heart Association’s second annual Fit-Friendly Worksite Wellness Symposium.

John Hadity ’83, president of the Alumni Association, presented the award on April 5 during the Alumni Council’s Recognition dinner.

  • Hamilton’s state-of-the art fitness center just got a bit more hi-tech with the replacement of 50 pieces of exercise equipment.  The Charlean and Wayland Blood Fitness and Dance Center was closed during last week’s fall recess in order to remove the old machines and bring in and install the new equipment.

  • Since its formal dedication at Fallcoming in October, 2006, The Charlean and Wayland Blood Fitness and Dance Center has established itself as the hub of campus fitness and wellness activities.
