For the past 33 years, Jeffrey Greene ’91 has been freeing incarcerated people in Connecticut’s prisons.

When Stacey Boyd visited a refugee camp in Kenya, she met a group of girls who were educated through a program sponsored by a telecommunications company. That achievement inspired her to create an online retailer that combined business and philanthropy.

Managing Editor of FRONTLINE Andrew Metz ’91 recently returned to Hamilton for a screening of Exodus, a documentary about the stories of refugees and migrants fleeing challenges like war and persecution, told from their personal perspectives.

Andrew Metz ’91 is the managing editor for Oscar-nominated film Abacus: Small Enough to Jail. A documentary directed by Steve James and produced by FRONTLINE, Abacus is nominated in the Academy Awards’ best documentary category.

A group of students had the opportunity to explore potential career interests through site visits, panel discussions and networking.

Reunion is defined as “the act of coming together again.”  There will be plenty of opportunity to do that this weekend, June 9-12, as Hamilton will welcome back more than 1,000 alumni and guests for Reunions 2016.  A special welcome goes to members of the class of 1966 who will be celebrating their 50th reunion. A full schedule of events will keep attendees busy throughout the weekend.

Culinary Nutritionist, author, consultant, speaker and food firebrand, Stefanie Sacks ’91, wrote a book called What the Fork Are You Eating? This book is an action plan to help people lead a healthier lifestyle from shopping to cooking at home.

The Wall Street Journal featured alumna Stacey Boyd ’91 on Dec. 3 in an article titled “Fundraising + Daily Deals = Business Inspiration” that focused on her new platform for school funding.

Trial and error, changing careers and taking risks are all steps to realizing one’s true passions. These were just some of the messages alumni in the field of communications shared with students at Hamilton’s first Communications Bootcamp, sponsored by the Career Center and held in the heart of Times Square on March 23.

SUNY Cortland announced that Erika Fowler-Decatur, class of 1991, is the new director of the Dowd Gallery, the university art gallery. Fowler-Decatur majored in art history while at Hamilton.
