With sunshine overhead, laughter across campus, and familiar faces around every corner, more than 1,200 alumni, family, and friends returned to the Hill for Reunions Weekend, June 11–14.

To commemorate the completion of his “Avant-Doc Trilogy,” Professor of Cinema and Media Studies Scott MacDonald recently presented “Birth, Earth, Screen, Sky,” at the Anthology Film Archives with students, alumni, and filmmakers in attendance.

A paper presenting research by several Hamilton alumnae and Associate Professor of Biology Andrea Townsend appears in the current issue of the journal Behavioral Ecology, published by Oxford Academic.

The Village of Clinton recently was certified as a Climate Smart Community through the New York State Department of Environmental Conversation (DEC) Climate Smart Communities Program, and Hamilton students and faculty played an integral role in helping Clinton achieve this distinction.

Coaching wasn’t the career path any of these alumni envisioned as undergraduates. Yet, they are now indeed coaches — college coaches — who along with other former Continental student-athletes are teaching and inspiring young people throughout the country.

Jonathan Dong ’21 has always been intrigued by the world of aquaculture. He began breeding fish in middle school, and grew to wonder at the life history of the species with which he worked. When he entered Hamilton, originally on a pre-med track, he found new ways to explore this passion.

An article by Associate Professor of Biology Andrea Townsend and co-authors Caroline Chivily ’19 and Casey McAndrews ’21, among others, appears in the June issue of Molecular Ecology.

Sharon Werning Rivera, the Sidney Wertimer Professor of Government, recently presented a paper at the annual convention of the Association for Slavic, East European, & Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) in Chicago.
