  • Throughout June, members of the Hamilton community came together and celebrated Pride Month thanks to several campus events hosted by student and staff organizers.

  • Boyle Heights is a vibrant, tight-knit neighborhood with a long history of activism on the East Side of Los Angeles. Over the years, a wide-range of nonprofit organizations have risen to uplift the community in a multitude of ways while addressing important issues impacting the area.

  • Hamilton College will host the first New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium (NY6) Spectrum Conference for LGBTQA students, faculty and staff on Feb. 22-23 on campus. 

  • While LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) subjects are a hot topic, many people remain unaware of the experiences of this community.  LGBTQ sensitivity is a major issue for middle and high schools, colleges and universities, businesses and organizations around the country and many do not know where and how to start addressing these issues.  Recent graduate Megan Bolger '11 has founded an organization, Pride For All, in order to provide educational services and information on this topic.
