Hamilton was one of the stops on Utica Monday Nite’s “Get on the Green Wagon Tours” on Monday, July 12. Associate Vice President of Facilities and Planning Steve Bellona led a tour of the LEED Gold-certified Kirner-Johnson Building and discussed the wind, solar and geothermal energy applications throughout the campus.

The program was organized by Richard Morris of the Green Local 175. According to the organization's website, the group “seeks to create a greater degree of environmental awareness and to stimulate and promote green economic development within a 175 mile radius of Utica - Rome.” Eugene Domack, the J. W. Johnson Family Professor of Environmental Studies, spoke about polar region changes during the organization’s earlier Green Expo. Professor of Biology Ernest Williams also led a tour of the Utica Marsh for the group.
