
Derek Jones, the Irma M. and Robert D. Morris Professor of Economics, gave an invited keynote address “Assessing Mondragon: Stability and Managed Change in the face of Globalization” at the First International Conference on Co-operatives, Kish, Iran.
The primary goal of the conference was to offer participants anopportunity to exchange ideas and experiences on advanced methodological approaches, successful models and latest research findings in order to boost cooperation at international level.
Another goal was to introduce cooperatives’ capabilities to the international community through successful Iranian cooperative models and also to provide a platform for effective interaction amongst cooperatives around the world.
