Hamilton Creator, Original Star Lin-Manuel Miranda is Next Great Names Guest
Hamilton College is thrilled to help celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hamilton by welcoming Lin-Manuel Miranda as the next guest in the Sacerdote Great Names series. The composer, creator, and star of the Tony Award-winning musical will give a talk on Monday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m., in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.

Guiden’s $500K NSF Grant: How Relationships Between Deer and Rodents Shape Forests
The glens of Hamilton College are poised to receive national attention through Assistant Professor of Biology Peter Guiden’s new project funded by a $500,000 National Science Foundation grant. Alongside Associate Professor of Biology Andrea Townsend and Northern Illinois University’s Holly Jones, Guiden seeks to untangle the complex relationships between deer and rodents that could be shaping our forests.

Representing Bhutan on Campus ... and at the United Nations
Jampel Payldon ’27 hails from the Kingdom of Bhutan, a small nation nestled in the Himalayas. This summer, Payldon had the opportunity to represent her country on the world stage as an intern at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the United Nations.

The Hamilton College Summer Program in Philosophy (HCSPiP), founded in 2018, has been a success from the beginning. First featured in an article in the American Philosophical Association Studies in Teaching in Philosophy, this year the Chronicle of Higher Education spotlighted the program in July.
