Assistant Professor of Chemistry (Organic)
The Chemistry department invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in organic chemistry beginning July 1, 2013. Ph.D. and postdoctoral or equivalent experience required. Applicants must be committed to undergraduate education, have an interest in teaching a diverse student population, and demonstrate excellence, or the potential for excellence, in teaching and research with undergraduates. Primary teaching responsibilities may include Organic Chemistry I and II lecture and lab, Research Methods, and other courses in the candidate’s area(s) of expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to guide student research during the summer and advise the required Senior Project during the academic year. Excellent startup support and research space in a state-of-the-art facility will be provided.
