  • When Andy Berman ’06 and Kevin St. John ’06 first created Facebook accounts during their junior year at Hamilton College, they had no clue that they would be working for the social media company only a decade later. In fact, after graduating from Hamilton, Berman said that he had “no idea” what to do professionally. St. John, who eventually went to business school and developed an interest in startups, did not have a concrete job himself until he started working for Facebook in 2015.

  • Susan Greenspan ’99 recently wrote a blog post for the site Windsor Running on being a runner during and after pregnancy. This site is co-founded by Jesse Gaylord ’06 and Cameron Gaylord ’09 is created for runners. When joining the team at Windsor Running, runners work with running and strength coaches, who help build individualized training plans to help them reach their goals.

  • Phoebe Scott ’06 founded Laudville, a site that was launched in 2011, that had virtually connected people who shared a favorite entertainment. She is the co-founder of Parlor, which according to its site is “Parlor is the first app to allow freelance stylists, barbers and makeup artists to set their own prices, manage their schedules and build their clientele by bringing their services directly to your home or any location you choose.” She is also currently working on two new projects, LuxeLi.st and MediaMatch.

  • As part of Carlson’s new position in Chattanooga, she is in charge of animal training, animal enrichment, and all the programming that happens for the public on the floor of the aquarium. Thus far, Carlson’s main focuses in her promotion have been in the “non-fish” department, working with penguins, otters, and alligators, though she also has some experience working with fish.
