Million Dollar Listing New York, which airs on May 25 on Bravo TV, was one of the most downloaded cable shows on iTunes last season.

The Career Center’s Student Connect Team led an overnight trip to Boston designed to offer fellow students the opportunity to explore potential careers through site visits, panel discussions and networking with alumni employees at various companies and organizations.

Meghan Hover Szczech '06 has worked for four different pharmaceutical companies in the 11 years since graduating Hamilton.

A group of students had the opportunity to explore potential career interests through site visits, panel discussions and networking.

Valery Danilack '06, a biochemistry and dance double major, earned a master's degree in public health from Yale before earning a Ph.D. in epidemiology from Brown University. Valery conducts research at the Women & Infants Hospital in Rhode Island and at the Brown University School of Public Health.

Susan Greenspan ’99 recently wrote a blog post for the site Windsor Running on being a runner during and after pregnancy. This site is co-founded by Jesse Gaylord ’06 and Cameron Gaylord ’09 is created for runners. When joining the team at Windsor Running, runners work with running and strength coaches, who help build individualized training plans to help them reach their goals.

Phoebe Scott ’06 founded Laudville, a site that was launched in 2011, that had virtually connected people who shared a favorite entertainment. She is the co-founder of Parlor, which according to its site is “Parlor is the first app to allow freelance stylists, barbers and makeup artists to set their own prices, manage their schedules and build their clientele by bringing their services directly to your home or any location you choose.” She is also currently working on two new projects, LuxeLi.st and MediaMatch.  

As part of Carlson’s new position in Chattanooga, she is in charge of animal training, animal enrichment, and all the programming that happens for the public on the floor of the aquarium. Thus far, Carlson’s main focuses in her promotion have been in the “non-fish” department, working with penguins, otters, and alligators, though she also has some experience working with fish.

Ryan Serhant ’06 makes his film debut in “While We’re Young,” a movie starring Ben Stiller and directed by Noah Baumbach, opening in theatres on March 27. Serhant, widely known as one of the stars and real estate agents of Bravo TV’s “Million Dollar Listing New York,” appears in this comedy-drama portraying middle-aged couple (Naomi Watts and Ben Stiller) who befriend a younger hipster couple in New York City (Amanda Seyfried and Adam Driver).

Alan Cafruny, the Henry Platt Bristol Professor of International Affairs, was interviewed for an article titled “Student Debt: Crippling for All Ages and Not Going Away Soon” on the FOX Business site on July 29. “The problem of student debt is not just ‘economic’ in the narrow sense,” said Cafruny. “Debt has all kinds of consequences for society: it imposes social discipline, circumscribing young people’s options, making them more acquiescent and conformist in all sorts of subtle and not so subtle ways.”
