  • Hamilton College alumnus Eric Feldman proudly announces plans to open Braven Brewing Company, a microbrewery in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. Teaming up with co-founder Marshall S. Thompson, a seasoned entrepreneur who earned his MBA from Fordham University, Eric hopes to make Braven the first brewery in the neighborhood in over 30 years.

  • Gail Perretta, a participant in Saturday's ceremonial run/walk marking the second anniversary of the Run for the Fallen, placed a flag at the Michael Cleary '03 Memorial Tree in front of Siuda House. Jon Bellona '03 created the Run for the Fallen as a tribute to his classmate, Michael Cleary '03 and all those soldiers who lost their lives in Operation Freedom in Iraq.

  • A ceremonial run/walk commemorating the 2008 Run for the Fallen will be held on the Hamilton College campus. The free event will begin at the Michael J. Cleary ’03 Tree on Saturday, Aug. 21, at 9 a.m., adjacent to the Campus Road side of the Siuda House, Hamilton’s Office of Admission and Financial Aid. The community is welcome to participate in this special remembrance of all the soldiers who have lost their lives in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

  • This August, six Hamilton alumni (Ian Lawson ’03, Deirdre Lydon ’02, Andrew Magoun ’03, Clarke Morrison ’03, Tracy Nichols ’03, and Ben Thorne ’03) will join eleven other runners as part of TEAM HOULI to run the Falmouth Road Race in Falmouth, MA.  In addition to maintaining the friendships forged at Hamilton, the runners will raise money for the Matthew W. Houlihan Foundation.

  • Two Hamilton graduates, have found a home at U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Maria Choi ’03 as the Marketing Manager and Brian Meyers ’00 as the Director of Development and Emergency Fund Raising.  UNICEF is the United Nations Children’s Fund and has been working to provide services for children and families in Haiti since 1949.  Nearly half of Haiti’s population is under the age of 18, so the recent earthquake has hit children extremely hard.

  • Jon Bellona '03 was featured in a short article in the February issue of Runner's World magazine in "What It Takes To … Run 4,000 miles for fallen soldiers." Bellona organized Run for the Fallen, a 4,000-mile cross-country relay last summer in honor of his Hamilton roommate Michael Cleary '03 and all of the soldiers who have lost their lives in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
