The awards list is compiled by a panel of SportsOneSource analysts, editors and industry executives and recognizes individuals who are leaders in the sporting goods industry. Simon is one of 40 leaders selected from more than 450 nominations.

  • Sean Ryan '94, an assistant on the New York Giants football coaching staff since 2007, was recently promoted to receivers coach with the National Football League organization.  Former Giants receivers coach Mike Sullivan was moved to quarterbacks coach, and Ryan took over the vacated spot. Ryan previously served as the offensive quality control coach. Ryan quickly impressed head coach Tom Coughlin with his assertiveness as an offensive assistant.

  • Kamila Shamsie '94 was featured in a story about emerging Pakistani writers on NPR (5/29/09). Shamsie's most recent book – her fifth novel – is Burnt Shadows, which has won rave reviews in Britain and elsewhere. The NPR story noted that there's "plenty to cheer about in Paksistan's burgeoning literary scene." Shamsie said "There are a number of us being read and it's creating a sense (for young Pakistanis) that writing is viable and something that can be done."

  • Kamila Shamsie '94, was interviewed for a Toronto Star article about Pakistani writers (5/12/09) and the country's literary renaissance. The article noted that Shamsie studied creative writing at Hamilton College in the 1990s.
