Assistant Professor of Psychology Ravi Thiruchselvam was the co-author of an article published in Social Cognitive Affective Neuroscience (SCAN), a leading journal in human neuroscience.

Kassandra Zaila ’15 was the lead author of an article published last week in the journal Frontiers of Microbiology. The article was based on research supported by the Casstevens Family Fund.

Hannah Zucker ’15 and Professor of Biology Herm Lehman represented Hamilton at the 2016 Society for Neuroscience Conference. The meeting took place in San Diego in November.

Students participating in the Fall 2016 New York City (NYC) Program attended a speech delivered by Stanley Fischer, vice chair of the Federal Reserve, at the Economic Club of New York (ECNY) meeting in October.

In an event called “The Future of Making” on Nov. 12, students were led by Educational Technologist Kyle Burnham ’15 and electronic artist Kathleen McDermott in discussing different ways in which humans can interact with their body, technology and environment. The event featured a student panel focused on the importance of “making and doing,” as well as a wearable technology workshop where participants could sew working technology into their clothing.

Sidney Wertimer Associate Professor for Excellence in Advising and Mentorship Wei-Jen Chang published a chapter in Biocommunication of Ciliates, released recently by Springer. “Interactions Between Parasitic Ciliates and Their Hosts: Ichthyophthirius multifiliis and Cryptocaryon irritans as Examples” was co-authored by Kassandra Zaila ’15 and Deanna Cho ’15.

Four students presented their computational chemistry research during the 15th Annual Molecular Educational Research Consortium in Undergraduate computational chemistRY (MERCURY) conference.
