Heidi M. Ravven, professor of religious studies, gave an invited paper at the Association for Jewish Studies Annual Meeting in Boston on Dec. 21. The paper, "Reviving a Jewish Medieval and Spinozist Model of Moral Agency," was delivered in the session "Re-opening The Conversation Between Jewish Philosophy and Contemporary Science," of the Modern Jewish Thought and Theology section of the AJS.

Derek Jones, the Irma M. and Robert D. Morris Professor of Economics, has co-authored a paper with Colgate professor Takao Kato titled “The Impact of Teams on Output, Quality and Downtime: An Empirical Analysis Using Individual Panel Data.”

Robin Kinnel, the Silas D. Childs Professor of Chemistry Emeritus, presented a paper at the 2010 International Chemical Congress of the Pacific Basin Societies (PacifiChem) on Dec. 18, in Honolulu. In his presentation, he discussed work carried out while on leave at Scripps Institute of Oceanography and at Hamilton.
