Ten Faculty Members Awarded Tenure
Ten Hamilton faculty members representing just as many areas of study were approved for tenure by the College’s Board of Trustees at its March meeting.

In its second meeting of the 2022-23 academic year, the Hamilton chapter of Phi Beta Kappa elected 15 members of the Class of 2023.

‘What Does Freedom Mean in Online Speech?’: Experts to Discuss
“What Does Freedom Mean in Online Speech?,” Hamilton’s next Common Ground presentation, will take place on Monday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in the Fillius Events Barn. The program, which is free and open to the public, features two experts who will examine the issue of online speech from different perspectives.

Hamilton College's Emily McNamara has been selected the 2023 American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Women's Division III Coach of the Year.

“Robust training and oversight [are] key,” said Hamilton Counseling Center Director David Walden as he described the College’s peer counselor program in a recent Wall Street Journal article. “With Therapists in Short Supply, College Students Counsel Each Other,” published on Feb. 12, provided an in-depth look into how Hamilton’s peer counselor program works, how peer counselors are able to “provide a supportive ear and not actual therapy [and] relieve some of the demand on the licensed therapists.”

The Hamilton College Continentals are halfway to their goal of four wins in the NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Championship and a national title. Hamilton's Evie Sheridan '26 made 31 saves and shut out Adrian College 2-0 in a quarterfinal at Adrian's Arrington Ice Arena on Saturday afternoon.
